DanceWorks attracts dance enthusiasts to its classes from Estepona to Gibraltar.

DanceWorks prides itself on providing young dancers with truly excellent training in a broad range of dance styles. Students are offered classes in Ballet, Tap, Modern Jazz, Gymnastic Dance, Freestyle and Musical Theatre.

We teach our students to develop their individual potential in a challenging yet encouraging environment. We focus on developing technique, strength, flexibility and musicality in preparation for the Grade examinations as well as various public events, including our DanceWorks Show.

DanceWorks follows the IDTA syllabus which offers Grade Examinations, as well as Medals and Awards in a wide range of dance and theatre related disciplines.

DanceWorks classes are held at Soto Centro in Sotogrande within the International Montessori School Sotogrande (IMSS). We have created two beautifully equipped, air-conditioned dance studios within the school to work and grow from.

PERFORMANCE

Every 18 months our students aged 5-18yrs are invited to perform in the DanceWorks Show where we hope to give them a taste of the magic and joy of stage performance.

Show Venues:
2005 - 2006 - Teatro Casino San Roque
2007 - 2009 - Palacio de Congressos, La Linea de la Concepcion.
2010 - Present - Teatro Juan Luis Galiardo, San Roque

In preparing our students to perform on a professional stage they learn about the pride and satisfaction that is gained from hard work as individuals and as part of a team... They then experience the nerves, the rush of adrenaline and the thrilling delight when the audience applauds their efforts... What a reward!!

With each successive performance DanceWorks raises its standard, astonishing and delighting audiences with the level of talent and ability our students demonstrate.

WHAT ELSE DO WE OFFER?

SUMMER SCHOOL

The best week of the year!

Every year, during the last week in August, DanceWorks hosts its annual summer school.
During the week students aged 5-18yrs are offered a wonderful opportunity to train with some of the UK's leading dance professionals, in their own home studio.
They will learn an exciting variety of new dance and musical theatre routines throughout the week and showcase the work for parents and friends in the end of week Show.

Each year the visiting teachers select one student, who they feel has excelled throughout the course, as the winner of the 'Scholarship Award' which offers a free placement on the following year's summer school.

Something to look forward to...

Led by outstanding UK dance instructors, our weekend workshops will guarantee to serve as an exciting diversion to, or be designed to compliment, our planned termly schedule.

AERIALWORKS

Aerial Hoop training with Amie Gunn

Students will learn to flip, roll, turn, pose and transition between various beautiful positions on the hoop whilst building confidence, strength and flexibility.

Aerial Hoop work has really hit the main stage in the last few years, with more and more cruise ships, artists and entertainers adding Aerial Work to their shows and repertoires.
Adding more strings to your bow as a dancer/gymnast is now an essential part of modern day training.

Classes are offered to students aged 5yrs and over, with a minimum height requirement.
